About Us

Carol Keller of The Organizing Experts

Carol Keller is the owner of the Organizing Experts Training Program; a California- based company offering training programs for professional organizers. She is also the owner of her own organizing business, the Organizing Experts, LLC which she launched in June of 2000. Her focus with her personal business is helping busy people organize their space, paper or time in their home, home office or business.

Carol is a graduate of the University of Oregon with a Bachelors degree in Education. She taught in the public schools for several years where she developed her teaching and listening skills. That experience allows Carol to encourage lasting organizational changes with her clients. She is able to break down ideas and express them in a way that her clients can easily understand and put them to use in their own lives.

The next phase of Carol’s life involved being a stay at home mom with her two children. She was very involved in not only their academic life but their sports activities as well. She understands what it takes to manage and maintain an organized family.

Carol’s business experience began with owning her own retail sporting goods business where she was President, owner, manager as well as sales associate working one-on-one with customers. That varied experience taught Carol the value of good organizing skills, from the client’s point of view. She has honed her paper management, time management and problem-solving skills in the real world, and can now share these talents with her private organizing clients as well as the Organizing Experts training program participants.

With this varied background and a love of teaching, Carol developed the curriculum for the Organizing Experts Training Program so that she can teach others who desire to join the organizing industry.

“I believe in the mantra, do it right the first time whether I am working with a personal client or teaching someone how to become a professional organizer. I am committed to providing all the skills, knowledge and information one needs to develop a successful organizing business.”

Carol is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), the Oregon chapter of NAPO and just recently has also joined the Los Angeles chapter of NAPO. As a leader in the professional organizing industry, Carol served for six years on the NAPO Oregon board.

Carol also has extensive experience as a speaker in the Portland area and has been quoted in publications both locally and nationally. She is an educator at heart and provides insight and information to those who want to learn.

Melissa K. Dagodag is a native of California and attended Stanford University, where she earned both her Master's and Bachelor's degrees in English. After graduating from Stanford University, she owned and operated her own product design and manufacturing business for several years. From this business she gained valuable hands-on experience which continues to enchance her skills as a business attorney. She decided to attend law school after feeling the frustration of seeing her designs and other tangible representations of her ideas stolen by others. Throughout attending The UCLA School of Law, she kept in mind her ideals of protecting creative embodiments of work, for herself, her friends and her colleagues. After graduating from The UCLA School of Law, she gained a great deal of helpful work experience at a prestigious Los Angeles law firm, in-house as Vice President of a small music publishing company and in-house as Business Affairs Counsel at a prominent fashion company.
Tired of not being able to give her clients the kind of personal and immediate attention that she wanted, she decided to open her own law office in 2006. To this day, she endeavors to adhere to the ideals which brought her to the practice of law in the first place: helping to protect the work of creative and entrepreneurial people. Having many fellow creative friends, from minimalist sculptors to recording artists, Melissa continues to live by her mission statement: to provide high quality legal services to fellow creative and entrepreneurial individuals at a reasonable price.
